MADRID – The term cult series seems condemned to be synonymous with small audiences and to be broadcast on minority and pay channels. La Sexta wants to break this maxim by placing four of the most critically acclaimed international comedies on its schedule: ‘My Name is Earl’ (which they were already broadcasting), ‘Entourage: Hollywood Game’, ‘The Office’ and ‘Larry David’. However, their bet has not been full, since the network has placed them in ‘late night’, immediately after Buenafuente’s program.
The U.S. version of ‘The Office’, which delves into the relationships between employees and the boss of a company, will remain on Wednesdays. It has won three Emmys and a Golden Globe for best actor for Steve Carell, its protagonist.
