Yahoo! Mail, or Correo Yahoo! in Latin America, is Yahoo!’s free email service. It is one of the largest email providers on the Internet, serving millions of users. Yahoo! Mail’s major competitors include Outlook.com, Gmail and AOL Mail.
Classic Mail is, since the launch of the new Yahoo! Mail, an optional secondary user interface. Although the AJAX interface is the default, Classic is available for users who cannot or prefer to use the old style.
Users can bypass the browser access restriction by using software that simulates a POP3 server to which a mail application connects. YPOPs! and FreePOPS are examples of free software applications that allow mail clients to access e-mail services (including Yahoo! Mail) via POP3.
Yahoo! Business E-mail is a combination of all its mail services with 10 accounts, each with the same features as the plus version, custom domain and mail address. The accounts can be managed with an administrator. Yahoo is apparently still working to allow its business email customers to access their email accounts from some cell phones, smartphones and Personal Assistants (PDAs). According to Yahoo’s site, at the moment, business mail can only be accessed from a BlackBerry. Yahoo plans to support more devices in the future.
