Convert pdf to editable word

Today we are going to see how we can work with PDF documents from Microsoft Word, a possibility that we do not always take into account. The solution is not perfect but it will surely surprise us positively.
In the case of Microsoft Word, from Word 2010 (Windows) and Word 2008 (Mac) onwards it is possible to go to File > Export or File > Save as and we will find the PDF format among the many available.
To do this we simply go to File > Open and select the PDF document in question. Depending on the content, the resulting draft will be more or less similar to the original. The conversion takes a few minutes.
Word will try to make the result as faithful as possible, although it may have problems with frames, tables, notes or tags. However, most of the content (text, headlines, images) will look correct.
When we have edited the generated draft, like any other Word document, at the end we will have the possibility to save it in DOC or PDF. As this is a conversion, we will still keep the original PDF.

PDF files are layout files where each word or object occupies a specific space, so it is not always easy to convert them to conventional text files like Word or OpenDocument (ODT). But just because it’s not as easy as changing conventional text formatting doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
By default, you will go to the Open screen, but just in case you can click the Open option in the left column. Once there, click the Browse button or any of the other available options to open the PDF file you want to convert.
To give you some examples, with PDFToWord.com or PDF2Doc you can easily convert your PDF to Microsoft text format. Other web tools like Online Convert or PDF to ODT however will allow you to convert your files to OpenDocument format.

Sometimes Word does not detect an item and therefore the Word version does not match the original PDF file. For example, if Word does not recognize a footnote, it treats it as normal text and may not place it at the bottom of the page.
There are some elements that cause problems when converting from PDF to Word. If the PDF file includes them, you may want to open it directly instead of converting it to a Word document:
PDF is a fixed file format, which means that the file stores the location of text, images, and vector graphics on a page but not necessarily the relationships between them. Most PDFs do not include information about structural content elements, such as paragraphs, tables, or columns. For example, PDF stores a table as a set of lines without any relationship to the content inside the table cells.
Different programs represent the same content using different structures in PDF files. For example, a PDF may contain invisible text, graphics and images. It may also use different text boundaries. However, you cannot see these differences if you view a PDF in a reader.
